Hayley from Kami + Kindred has designed this so thoughtfully. Just place a little water in the bottom, then push your butter into the top section. The butter is then immersed in the water, preventing your butter from going rancid by placing it in an anaerobic environment. And the best part; your butter remains one constant, beautifully-spreadable temperature year round. The water prevents it from melting in summer heat, and hardening in the cool of winter.

Dishwasher safe, however we always recommend hand washing to ensure your pieces last a lifetime.
