Oh hi! Come on in, won't you (let's just pretend for a moment that this is my place) - designed by one of my all time favourite interior designers, Cassie James-Herrick and her team at CJH Studio.
Photography by Timothy Kaye.
We have to pause the tour right where its starts - the front door. This white-steel-framed arched door is EVERYTHING.
The master bedroom and ensuite are very restful, restrained, and refined, but a couple of design choices add a little playfulness and personality - the arched doorway, curvy bedside tables custom designed by CJH Studio, and wavy wardrobe handles.
(Those handles, by the way, are also designed by Cassie - for her hardware brand Linear Standard. They are the Brave in matte white.)
Speaking of the wardrobe, it's a 'walk-through', connecting the master with the luxurious ensuite:
Bathing here would be a meditation. Everything (the materials, colours, ambient lighting, even the placement of the bath) feels very quiet, still and focused - just the retreat sometimes needed from the busy world outside.
Our collective obsession with reeded glass continues... I love the way the designers have used it here, allowing sunlight to stream in, while offering full privacy to whoever is using the bathroom.
Has all that good design worked up your appetite yet? Feast your eyes on this kitchen:
A sophisticated palette for a sophisticated palate.
As they have throughout the rest of the home, CJH Studio have layered in some softer, warmer elements (the oak flooring and sheepskin bar stools) and curves to balance out the clean, linear aspects.
L-O-V-E this Pitt cooktop, integrated seamlessly into the granite. Yum!
These punchy little wall lights pop up through the house - they are the Mobil 46 by Swedish brand Pholc.
We know how I love a shower with a bench seat.
The laundry may actually be my favourite space in House Fin.
Design is in the details.
If you really wanna lose your mind, go and see the other incredible homes CJH Studio have created, here. And be sure to follow the team on Instagram @cjh____________studio because they'll no doubt be showcasing more jaw-dropping work soon.
