Issue 35 of HERE Magazine - a beautifully-curated compendium of new and notable New Zealand architecture, interiors and design.
Issue 35 features five houses built with connectuon and comfort in mind – these are houses for living in, and living in well. On the cover, the renovation of a 1980s pole house by SGA on on Waiheke Island keeps everything the owners loved about the place, but refines and rationalises its deeply quirky angles.
Elsewhere, Studio 2 Arcjhitects design a low-slung retreat around notions of warmth and togetherness in Matakana, while Pac Studio peels back the layers of a heritage villa in Epsom, uncovering past lives and bringing a fresh perspective. In Paekākāriki, meanwhile, William Giesen creates a flexible space for business and pleasure at the bottom of his garden. And in Sandringham, Tāmaki Makaurau, an original 1970s townhouse is restored to its original spirit.
Plus, we check out Popina, a beautiful new restaurant in Central Otago by Guy Tarrant Architects, while Michael Gilling of Xylo woodcraft designs a chair designed around daily rituals. We send all parcels as Signature Not Required/Authority to Leave - which means the courier can still deliver your parcel if you're not home.
