Gold Vermeil (ver-may) is a super thick layer of 18k gold over solid sterling silver. 2.5 microns of plating to be exact - a much, much thicker layer of gold in comparison to most regular gold plated jewellery (which is only 0.5 microns, often over brass or stainless steel). Gold Vermeil is an international standard of premium plating that is designed to be long-lasting and have the look and feel of solid gold jewellery, at a fraction of the price.
Both the base and plating are made of precious metal; which makes them completely hypoallergenic, anti-tarnish, water resistant and designed for daily wear.
