CJH Studio - House LD
Oh hi! Welcome! Come on in, let me show you around the latest project by one of Sunday's all-time favourite interior designers, Cassie-James Herrick / CJH Studio.
Built-in storage (in beautiful bespoke cabinetry) is my Love Language. I also love how they've bought the brickwork from the exterior threshold to the inner entranceway.
Guess what? Those doors open to the garage, a powder room, storage cupboards, a bar and even a small second living/playroom.
Another gorgeous built-in, this time concealing the TV, audio equipment, kids toys and more. The stone backdrop actually continues, wall-to-wall, from the adjacent kitchen and dining spaces, let me show you...
Fave kitchen details? Every single detail, actually. Like this exact tapware choice; and the way it's mounted to the higher-than-my-life-goals stone splashback. And the minimalist ball sconce lighting; and the way they've used those same lights throughout this home, but changed their configuration in different spaces (see what I mean in the living and bathroom spaces).
Oh, and then there's the kitchen island - one end a stone monolith (love the negative detail in the leg), the other end more sleek storage. Incredible.
Bathroom design details we love: the full-height, solid timber, cavity-sliding door and that benchtop - one long piece of stone that, at one end, floats in front of the floor to ceiling window.
Wow - talk about walk-in robe of my dreams! Imagine having a walk-in robe so spacious that you could have a centre console like this, as if your wardrobe were a high-end boutique. The lighting here is the perfect choice (and it happens to be a piece of NZ design, the Line Pendant by Snelling Studio).
If I could work here, I'd be 350% more productive and 2.8 x more creative.
